I think there's going to be some fun times ahead for everyone but those two for a little while. I just need to figure out something they'd both like that isn't fighting with each other. I'm thinking reading or something like that. Something Byakuya is surprised to learn Ichigo likes, and then they start bonding from there.

That's my favorite line, too. I had just re-watched the beach episode of the anime and was all "That would be a fun image." Hopefully it'll go up after I finish my next paper. I have a story to post tonight and then I'll work on finishing that and this one after I turn in my cuisine paper.

Yay for friendship!! I'm not usually much of a Renji/Rulia or IchiHime shipper, but they felt more like natural extensions of what was happening in the background. I'm curious to see what sort of bonding activity Byakuya and Ichigo will do since I know that has to be coming.

Also, I agree that the Hitsugaya line was classic.

As soon as I do a little more research on it, I'm going to play on the fact that Ichigo looks older than he is (I'm assuming he's 18 around the time this starts) and have them end up in a host club. I also plan on having them get stuck in a fight alongside Ishida and neither of them have their zanpakatous because it's not a Hollow threat (I'm thinking it's along the lines of the fight in the beginning of this current arc, where it's yakuza bringing the fight to Ichigo because he beat one of the weaker members up).
