“However far away I will always love you.” Santana sang, soft and low, she though Brittany was asleep. “However long I stay I will always love you.”
Brittany shifted in her sleep and Santana tentatively brushed some hair for the blonde’s eyes.
“Whatever words I say I will always love you.” Santana promised, she knew she could be a bitch and sometimes she was to Brittany but she never meant to mostly she said it without thinking or Brittany took it a way no one else would, just because she said someone had duck feet did not mean she was insulting ducks, but that was one of the things she loved the most about Brittany, not that she played the fool but that she was always herself, completely herself, Brittany was who she was and though Santana sometimes wished she could be like that but she wasn’t, instead she was Brittany’s protector and that was a job she wouldn’t change for all the world. Santana didn’t know what would happen in the future, not next year, not next month but she did know that no matter what she wanted to be with Brittany.
“I will always love you.” Santana said, Brittany didn’t open her eyes but she smiled.
“I’ll always love you too.” She said and shifted closer still to her girlfriend. Santana opened her mouth to say something, anything, but she closed it again as Brittany wrapped an arm around her waist. Santana smiled and kissed Brittany’s hair and draped an arm around her girlfriend content to let the moment be what it was.
