Possible new fandom in sight? Monday Mornings

People who know me also know that I'm usually not so much into drama. I like my supernatural with action and mystery, but please keep all such who-s-in-the-bed-with-whom-stuff aside. That's why I stopped watching ER after a couple of seasons, when all the drama-stuff went bigger and bigger and left the original idea of the show alone in the dark.

I searched long for a fill for my beloved ER - and today I think I may have found a possible progeny: Monday Mornings.
To be correct, so far I've only watched the Pilot - like everyone else. But a show that make it possible for me to like Jamie Bamber has definetely something. So, if you got a chance, try it out. So far the first season only have 10 episodes and as it's just premiered everything is possible - good or bad.

What's it about? Funny thing, again the show is placed in Portland (really? Guys, are there no other cities in US anymore? Besides ... you are very, very welcome - I simply fell in love with Portland as fast as I fell in love with Grimm :D) in a fictional hospital. The show is following five surgeons on their way, daily duties and (not so much) private life. The clue on MM is simple: whenever one of the doctors is failing, he or she has to take responsible for it in a "public" interview (which is, as far as I know, true) and have to stand there the questions and critics of their collegues.

Developed is the show by well known David E. Kelley (Ally McBeal, Boston Legal, Harry's Law), who's also Executive Producer. Along with Jamie Bamber there's an also well known main cast: Alfred Molina (The Company, The Lodger, Harry's Law) , Ving Rhames (The District, MI: Phantom Protocol), Jennifer Finnigan (Crossing Jordan, Close to Home, Conception), Keong Sim (Harry's Law, Glee) and some more.

I really have high hopes now that this doctor's/hospital-drama won't be too much drama but stay as exciting as the Pilot was. As I've said, check it out, maybe it's also something for you :).
