Akela Cooper leaving

Akela Cooper, one of the main-writers for Grimm, is leaving the franchise. She won't be back for season 3, which will be start filming in August. In her own words, she's going back to work on another series at Warner Bros.

This is a really sad news. Akela's writing for Grimm was stable and subtle. Some of my personal highlights (1.10 Organ Grinder) were written by her. It is sad to see her leave. Her sense of humour and her take on the characters of Grimm and the Wesen in particular will be missed.

Grimm lost a lot of crew during it's so far 2 season run. Hopeful this isn't a bad sign for hopeful more than only 3 seasons. At least Jim Kouf and David Greenwalt, creators and executive producers of the show, said lately a 5 year run would be appreciated as they could tell their original storyarc completely.

Good luck for your future and your carreer, Akela. I for one will watch what you will do after Grimm as I really like your work.:)
