Some burning questions

Feb 11, 2006 12:50

I've found that my f-list has gotten a little out-of-control (in terms of size), and that it's stressful trying to keep up with it. I'm curious how others cope with this, and I hope everyone who reads this will take a few moments to fill out this brief poll. It shouldn't take more than a minute.

And, to be honest, I'm curious who is actually reading my journal, especially since I might--possibly--need to do a little de-friending. I've been telling myself to avoid that if I possibly could, but lately I've got the impression that there are a lot of people on my f-list whose journals I'm not reading, and who are probably not reading mine either. And so, this poll is a little test of that hypothesis, too.

BTW, if you are someone who has friended me and I haven't friended you back, feel free to fill out this poll, too! If you fill it out, I'll know you are reading, and if you leave a comment introducing yourself, there's a good chance I will friend you back. Some of you seem intersting to me, but I haven't friended back because, well, I feel like I have too many people on my f-list alredy. If I end up de-friending people who are not reading my journal anyway, then I will have room for more friends who will read it.

Poll LJ f-list reading habits

ETA: I want to apologize, because I just realized that I made the poll results public, and that some people might consider the second question a bit personal. I'll understand if you want to skip that question. Although...I'm really curious, especially, about whether people use filters to read only a selection of their flist, because that's something I've thought about doing to solve the f-list reading stress. So, if you don't mind letting me know your answer for the second question, but don't want to say it publicly, just email a quick line to me at my gmail account (my handle is the same as my LJ username). Thanks.

Thanks for your input!
