Unfortunately, I do not know the Samurai Cleansing reference. :/
However, I was thinking of your friend Ruth the other day when I was thinking about people I know named Ruth. She's the only one. Heh. I'm sorry you've lost touch with her. :/ Do you think she might be on Facebook or summat? I've found some old high school friends through that. I could do a search for her, actually...Hmm. Two results, but neither looks like the girl I remember meeting in college. Ha! I DID find a Jeanette Soares who is a Georgetown Grad student, though. Could be your girl? (*Kristi is a stalker*)
Anyway, yeah it's weird to go back and read through old notes and memories and see how you've changed. I remember reading some old notes from middle school and just shaking my head at the things I thought were the end of the world. However, it's helpful for remembering what it's like to be that age and relate to your students, eh?
Hmm. I need to call you. I've got some stuff to chat about. *hugs* dear one.
Ruth has a website at Multiply.com, but she hasn't updated it in nearly two years.
The Georgetown Jeanette does indeed appear to be "mine", however. Cool. And I found Casey and Erika as well! But no Ruth. She was always one of my most elusive friends when it came to keeping in touch--her address changed constantly. I generally had to depend on her deciding to contact me.

I do not recognize the refrence. *sniff*
I was actually huddled up in the corner of my room the other day with Will, and I'm looking through my Kindergarten yearbook. Looking at all m friends pictures, I realized thtat I do not keep in touch with a single one of them (except Katelyn, but that's a given). I started to cry. But, even through the tears, I still managed to tell Will, "We thought we were so cool." It saddens me to know I'll be saying this in another 9 years. Oh well. Awesome, kick-butt song , by the way. *does Green Day choreography (Is that spelled right? Yell at me tomorrow if it isn't.) to the song "Holiday"*

I saw some photos of 17 year old me a few weeks ago. It was.. odd, to look at. I felt like I was looking at a different person.
