Beautiful, and so relaxing, are the words that come to mind when I think of BC! At least, where I'm living now. It's been an amazing experience and never have I felt so deprived of the simplest little things in life! I'm very envious of those who have decided to move their families here in the Okanagan Valley. The sights of the mountains, and clean, swimmable lakes would be enough to lure me eagerly to work everyday, just to enjoy the drive. A simple life is what I've come to love, away from the busy rush, loud traffic, and trends all around. It's frustrating because I'm going to be coming home quite soon ... this 9 month adventure is almost at its end, but I'm not too sure I'm prepared for that!

I've been missing Quebec a bit lately, but only because I loved the main street of the town we lived in. The poutine was hard to say goodbye to as well :P But, ever since I got to BC in late May, I've been loving it as well. I work at the Canadian Mental Health Association in Vernon, and it's been a sweet experience. I've learned a lot, and earned a certificate in Mental Health First aid, so that whole experience was very educating. Awareness is the key for mental illnesses, so at least now I'm armed with that knowledge. Getting to know the clients has been fun too! Right now, I'm billeting with one of my co-workers. I've been able to go horse back riding, boating, tubing, and motorcycling to work each day. 40 minutes straight on a motorcycle is pretty long sometimes, but I just like it when we take the scenic route, over looking the lake.

So, here's to the last month of the program. I hope it doesn't go by too fast, and slip right past me! It's funny because I've been so out of touch with everyone, except a couple of friends. I really don't know what's going on ... so I hope I don't come home to a city full of strangers.

<3 and kisses,
Ariahna
