This post may become massive. I hope not. As I would really like to get to bed BEFORE 5am tonight, rofl, yeah right.
So February happened, and to those of you who had me friended through that ordeal know what happened, and after that I lost a great deal of interest in the things I loved at the time. And then rivelata became my home and has been for the past several months.
I've met the most amazing people through that place, honestly. I think jazalove really put it the best in what she said here about that place. Which brings me to a whole new point.
Aside from making the most amazing new friends [NO ORDER: Toast, Skyler, Jason, Janelle, Jen, Batman, Andrei, Roz, Li, Ashley, Rika, Tits] and reaffirming old friendships [NO ORDER REDUX: Jaz, Jess, Beck, Michinder, Emily, Jaida, Dani], Riv has basically given me a home when I felt like there wasn't really anything that would even want me around online. I feel welcome there, and happy, not to mention that to top it all off, I was upped to a mod today at that amazing place, too. It's also been a bit of a lesson in tolerance. I never, ever thought I'd be that person. You know who I'm talking about.
The person who reads manga and watches anime and goes to cons and cosplays.
YEAH.

Well, thanks to these people I've now read/watched D.Gray Man, DOGS/DOGS: Bullets & Carnage, Weiss Kreuz, Eyeshield 21, Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei... and I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting a bunch. Not to mention that I'm getting into Gintama, Ludwig Kakumei, Baccano!, Tsukihime... and I want to get into so much other crap but jflksdfjs. TIME!
But seriously, read dogs. And watch Weiss. It is the most amazing crappy 90s anime you will ever see. AND A GOOD INTRO TO ANIME. And DOGS. Oh god DOGS. The love I have for that thing. lkdsjfsf (Point in case, I read it all in a total span of 4 hours, beating jazalove in the process. And now I have a million DOGS icons to upload.) JFDSLKJFLF
And then I bought my first manga hardcover! It's Black Butler aka Kuroshitsuji Vol. I, II, and III, and I was all OMG LOOK I BOUGHT BOOKS I CAN'T READ AND I LOVE THEM :DDD and felt like a dork. And then I bought the D.Gray Man fanbook and I felt even geekier. And then I bought a Kuroshitsuji poster. And then Skyler bought all these volumes of DOGS. And he owns Weiss on DVD and we watched a ton. And then I got the Weiss fanbook. AND THEN MY BRAIN EXPLODED FROM AWESOME AFTER HAVING SPENT TOO MUCH MONEY.
But seriously.
Why is this thing so disorganized. Whargh.
So then Anime Next happened.
HOW DID ANIME NEXT HAPPEN?! you ask. ANIME NEXT IS JUST OUTSIDE NYC!!
WELL MY FRIENDS. WHAT A TALE THAT IS. I wish this was organized
So over the months, through Riv, I've become pretty good friends with Andrei [erewhile], and it was obvious he was pretty stuck in a pretty shitty situation. So when Skyler [unsymbolic] was getting out of HIS shitty and driving across the country from AZ to NY in a doggie caravan and decided to just stop by KS to meet me, the person he'd only known up until that point through online, through RPing together... we basically chatted for 6 hours straight until 3am through epic storms, and about halfway through the conversation we'd decided to take a little detour approx. 9 hours northbound and kickstart Andrei.
So we did.
I go to bed after packing shit together at like, 5am, and sleep for maaaybe 2 and a half hours before I wake up to tell my mom OH BTW, BRB, GOING TO SAVE ANDREI, and she tells me she knows, and to have fun, and to just surprise her with when I'm coming home because WHY NOT GO TO NYC WITH SKYLER?!
I laugh at her.
It takes us ten minutes on the HW and we've turned around and I go back to my house to throw my life into a suitcase so I can go with him to NYC.
Yep.
Pretty much.
So we take epic detour of epic to WI to kickstart Andrei.
It's basically one of the most amazing few days I've ever spent. So much fun was had. Oh god, I wanted to cry. I think at one point, I did, though the tears were held back until we had to leave him behind. I wanted to take him with us to NYC so badly. ;_;
So now Andrei is finally getting himself out. He's moving to AZ! CLEARLY SKYLER AND I CHANGE LIVES. 8D
So the roadtrip continues! And along the way we meet Jen&Janelle in OH, and then Jess [jesslared] in PA!
And now, a few weeks later (oh my god it's almost been a months), we're pretty well settled into a month-to-month lease house-type-deal in Monroe, NY, which is a little upstate of the city, and we've been having a blast, as well as our fair share of house-troubles. Buuut, it's awesome. And we've already gotten to meet up with ladyjaida and danibennett and that was amazing and SO MANY OTHER PEOPLE TOO and just jklfdsjfklsa.
SO WAIT, you say. YOU SERIOUSLY JUST UP AND MOVED TO NYC JUST LIKE THAT?!
AND YES, MY FRIENDS, THE ANSWER IS YES. I did. It is amazing. There is nothing like an impromptu move across the country when you've been feeling trapped in KANSAS OF ALL PLACES, you know. Wherever.

Okay, so you actually know what the hell is going on, we cosplayed two of the members of Schwarz from the aforementioned show Weiss Kreuz-- I cosplayed the white version of the redhead, Schuldig and Skyler cosplayed the blue version of the short brunette, Nagiin this video. So you can see them in action. Sexy action. As for our Weiss counterparts, Aya is the tall brooding redhead, Omi is the short cute one with the MASSIVE eyes what, and Youji is the sexy one. I mean, the one with the light-brown longish hair. Pay no mind to Ken.

The cosplays Skyler and I did were put together in basically 2-3 days. Yes. In their entirety. The hairdye for my hair so it could be ORANGE was like. a freaking hunt. The headband was sown. Everything else was FOUND. And yes it is PAINFUL to bind 34Ds. :< Let me tell you. And YES Skyler spent the whole 3 days attached to the sowing machine. ENTIRE COSTUME. BY HAND.

I met such AWESOME people at ANext, too, aside from the awesome!Weiss group. I mean. Hot damn. :D HELLO MY NEW LJ FRIENDS, YOU ARE VERY BEAUTIFUL.
And so, that having been said, I've ordered my wigs and wig crap and more costume stuff is on the way and yes that does totally mean that I WILL BE AT OTAKON WHUT WHUT at the beginning of August with Jaida and Dani and peopleeeee. It's going to be VERY EXCITING. I shall be doing my Schuldig once more, and also D.Gray Man's Lulubell so Rika and I can photoshop crack OTP Gintoki and Lulu WHAAAAT

What else... THIS IS SO DISORGANIZED I might have an RPG of my own brewing that could be pretty epic. I wouldn't mind keeping it small, especially now with modship at Riv I don't have all THAT much time, but I do enjoy modding and this could just be on the side, but, uh... watch this space?

I will be in TORONTO from the evening of the 8th to the morning of the 15th. I shall be arriving by train and spending the week with the AMAZING MICHINDER [metatarsus]. We are going to meet the Toronto!Riv crew (WHICH SEEMS TO BE MASSIVE?! WHAT?!), go to her lakehouse, mess around the internet, go to this really famous club type deal with VIP access because we know the bouncer there, Cho, VIA RIV, who is awesome and amazing and yay, meet up with Meghan [lafeemechante], Emily [midnightdream__], and maybe even lienne and cazrolime, but that's a different story.
Then, August 7th-10th I will be gone at Otakooon in Baltimore, MD, obviously, doing con-things with con-people and maybe getting to meet ONE OF MY FAVORITE PEOPLE IN THE WHOLE WORLD, TOAST [thanatoast].
Then for Halloween I will more than likely be going to LSU in Baton Rouge, LA just ouside New Orleans to cosplay Claire to Toast's Hiruma so YES, MEETING UP WITH THAT AWESOME TOAST AND ONE OF MY OTHER FAVORITE PEOPLE EVER JASON OHMYGOD [feralsplice].
Then over Christmas/New Years will be Germany! To get a student visa. Eh.
AND THEN JUNE WILL BE AKON. WITH TOAST AND JASON AGAIN. OMG.
AND THEN JULY WILL BE VEGAS. FOR MY MOM'S BIRTHDAY. AND ALSO BECAUSE I WILL BE 21 AND VEGAS WILL BE AN OPTION. HOMG.

I need a fresh start, anyway. Things are looking up. Things have actually fucking changed for me. Because I made them happen. Fancy that notion. Actually, you know? Things are looking really, really damn great from where I'm sitting..

- APPLY FOR 4-YEAR ACTING PROGRAM FOR FALL '09
- STAY IN SCHOOL, THEREFORE, FOR THE NEXT 5 YEARS
