Leap Day is random day!

Let's see. My damn clock didn't ring this morning, so I was late to work. Thankfully, my manager understood. [Hey, *he* was late yesterday, so I opened at the exact same time both days -- ten minutes late.] Card readers didn't work. Retail support managed to get that fixed up for me. [Thanks, Carlos, wherever you are.] I have to open tomorrow, which is kinda ugh. I'd like a good night's sleep sometime soon.

Also, today was Random Truck Day or something. I had, over the course of the day, a car-carrier loaded with shiny Malibus, a truck hauling a damn trackhoe, and an empty flatbed truck whose driver wanted a pack of cigarettes pull into the parking lot. :D Also had a car break down in the lot. So, of course, the tow truck got there when I was leaving for lunch. Figures. Something more interesting than engines going back and forth on the tracks to watch, and it's lunchtime. Ah, well.

So I got bored and worked on that bizarre might-not-even-be-plausible-since-I-don't- know-how-the-game-ends Lost Odyssey fic. Had it sitting on the counter when Calvin got there, too. He asked what I was writing. He didn't have a chance to read it, but... knowing what I know about him, he might agree with some of the sentiment, but I don't think he'd get it. Then again, I'm not even sure I "get" it, and I'm the one writing the damn thing. Immortal characters are confusing to write sometimes.

And right now, one of my browser windows is at MSNBC, and there's a Jack Daniels ad at the top of the page. That's kinda amusing.

Long story short: today has been a strange random day. And it's not even over yet. Off to write, I think.

Edit: Hahahaha~! I got a spam [and scam] email that says, "I once again try to notify you as my earlier letter was returned undelivered." And come on, why would "Engr." [Engineer? I don't get that abbreviation.] anyone randomly add some random girl to his will? Oh, wait, it's to add my humanitarian work. Wow. I, er, don't really do that kinda thing. Unless fanfic somehow counts. These things get dumber all the time.

real life: work, random: paradox and other weirdness, real life: small town life, random: there are no words
