Long time, no post
I realized it's been quite a while since I've posted. So, here's an update....
- I'm finally settled in the apartment here in Phoenix. As usual, I have a couple boxes of office stuff to sort through at some point in time but the place is liveable now.
- I made it through 3 weeks of training at work (in more of a classroom setting) and have been in "live" work mode for a couple weeks now. The worst part is trying to learn now they want things handled there. I still have enough Linux stuff to brush up on again but that's mostly for me so I'll have a change to advance. Mostly it's all procedural stuff.
- The kitties have settled in well it seems so I'm happy for that. I'm happy to have them here too. They are good company.
- I found a good comic shop down here. There's a bigger one I haven't checked out yet but this one isn't too far away and they take good care of me. I've only been there a few weeks and they know me and my order by sight so that's a good thing. Plus, there's a really cute guy who works there on comic day who's been cool to talk to.
- As far as MMOs go, I'm giving WoW a try because all the guys I know here seem to play that. (They just had a 5th anniversary deal where you could get the base game for $5 so I did.) I don't think it'll ever replace EQ2 for me tho as EQ2 has better graphics and better crafting.
- I'm just starting to learn my way around and getting to meet people. Hopefully that will pick up soon since I now have the apartment settled enough.
- It's nice to have a DVR now but one thing I've learned is that since that's in the living room and I spend so much time in the computer room, it tends to fill up fast. At least before if I taped something on VHS in the living room, I could still watch it on the TV in the computer room.
