Mansfield Park
After just missing them (LDS Employment Services) yesterday it took a surprising amount of time for me to convince myself to go back there. I was hounded by Aaron to go and I was certain it was a waste of time for reasons I couldn't articulate.
Watched Mansfield Park on Hulu with breakfast and fell in love with it again. I'm such a sucker for Austen.
B&W or color? I was pretty cheap on the pictures today I know. I figure that I'm mad (as I spend most of my life) so I can do what I want.
As for the Employment center it was as I expected. Useless. Mostly goal setting and networking less of the here is a list of available jobs that fit your skill set. In fact there were no lists. They let me know that most of "this" was being pushed back to the stake and ward level. I let him know it was my ward/stake (and Aaron) who had told me to go to them. *sigh What I walked away with was a sheet of instructions for setting up my profile online. I was also told that they would call to check up on me if I didn't set it up within a few days. Seriously?
After that I went straight over to the Goodwill Job Connection. Talked to Steve and he not only told me he knew where I was coming from as he had been without a job for more than a year once he also printed out a sheet with how to apply for the 2010 census. One of the things I was interested in doing. Anyway I walked away from that feeling much more hopeful.
Job hunting is the suck.
What also is the suck is when LJ doesn't let you post anymore pictures because you don't have enough "space on your account." Its because I don't have enough BS on your site. This falls under the same category as "gifts" on FB. Worthless pictures that people pay money for.
