Keera is in gymnastics so while we walked around she and Aer would do these tricks.
Hands up! I think aer has watched too many Olympic games.
Keera thought so too.
No my hands up! She was giving Aaron the low down. This is how you do it...
Grab my hands....
and pull me up! Ready Sproghetti go! (I did two edits on this splits shot can you tell where they are?)
The proud fisherman.
The biggest fish caught in the Zoo.
Non-zoo creatures in the zoo. Bluejays! They have bluejays here in Oregon like crazy. I saw one in the inlaws backyard when we had dinner over at their house yesterday. Such a beautiful bird. It reminds me of the cardinals in Texas. (Red birds)
Next was the Lorikeet landing. You walk though a set of doors, rub on some hand sanitizer and then walk though a second set of doors into this aviary. At first we were like cool those are some pretty birds and we keep walking. Then this zoo worker stops us and to Keera he says here put out your hand like you're holding an ice cream cone. But she got scared so Aaron did it and he put this little paper cup full of stuff in his hand.
Then these Lorikeets swoop down and start slurping it up. At one point Aaron had two on his hand.
He tried again to get Keera to do it but this was as close as she got.
They were pretty surprising flying down from all over the place. Do you see the one poking its head over her shoulder?
Do you see Keera over my shoulder? My turn! So much fun. It was totally our favorite part. Well Aaron and Hykel's not so much Keera's.
The leopard was there on the rock. The other one...
was pacing back and forth. I was surprised at how often Keera would just wander off into the animal pens with the animals.
Ok just kidding. There is a huge thick piece of glass. Thank heavens too! That thing was on the prowl.
Because there is just glass inbetween you and the leopard it gets really intimidating.
Last animal out of the park is the mountain goat. It reminded me a lot of going to Cabella's, except no taxidermy. I highly recommend Cabella's as a date night.
Always goofing around. This is the exit to the zoo. Afterwards we went to drop her off and we called but didn't bother to check at the door to see if Juli was home so we got to play around for a half an hour for no reason. Here are some of my favorite shots.
She called it a duck. (Pelican!) If you look close you can see she is still holding her zoo key tight in her left hand. She never let that thing go. I stole it from her when she was distracted tying her shoes in the last entry.
On the way to her house we ran into a lot of red lights and Aaron and I would give each other a peck like we have a habit of doing at red lights. So then Keera started saying "You may now kiss the bride!" Then it was "You may now kiss the man!"
Naturally when we got to the playground we had to play house. "Who is going to be the man?" She would say. "Who is the bride!" She would use her zoo key to open "secret doors" on the playground equipment. I forgot what imaginations kids have.
This one above was Aaron's favorite. The one below is mine. (Vote now!)
She was climbing through a bike rack. One of my favorite shots to make as Jazmyne will tell you.
Keera is at Disneyland right now with Juli. Lucky girls!
Thats it for the zoo, join us next time for the Eiche Adventures Pirate style.
