Australia has offered Steve Irwin a state burial if his family wants one.

I'd say that says something about the man whose

"His claim to fame was doing things that appeared as risky, and it'd
rather seem, WERE risky. I'm sure he did good things as well, but what
made him a known name, what got him famous, was doing stupid shit
that most everyone found entertaining, because they were waiting to see
exactly what's happened happen, him do something risky and get hurt."

His claim to fame was so much more than that and I really feel sorry that some people can't see beyond the theatrics to what he actually accomplished.

I hope Terri takes them up on it, but I'd understand completely if she chose to have a private burial.
