Solid Gold Hund-n-Flocken
Okay there is a small discussion going in redjenn93's journal about quality dog food. I have this marvelous food that I found several years ago that I feed Tucker (I didn't for awhile because I couldn't find it, but as soon as I found it, he's back on it). I was asked for more information about it so here it is.
It's called Solid Gold Hund n Flocken... I buy the gold bag (I think there is a blue one and one other as well) because it is the 'adult maintenance" one. It's lamb based.
This food comes sealed in an air tight bag. In other words a 30 lb bag is FULL, not 1/3 air and when you open it, it smells because it's FRESH.
Solid Gold specializes in the development of "non-allergenic" products, which work together to enhance total health, boost up the immune system and protect against disease. They always use wholesome USDA Choice lamb and beef meal, USDA grade I and II grains, and healthful monounsaturated and polyunsaturated oils.
Solid Gold never uses chemical preservatives such as BHA, BHT and Ethoxyquin, which may be related to some diseases in pets. Please note: (because I think it's great)... 1st ingredient is Lamb, not Lamb byproducts or some shit, LAMB. BROWN rice, which we all know is healthier, OATMEAL, lots of oils (good for the skin and coat, BLUEBERRIES!!!! He eats less and poops less (healthier food with more nutrition = less waste = less poop). This is an all natural, holistic dog food.
