Ok, so update. I promised myself I would at least try to write something today.
I've practically been living with the VH1 Classic channel on my television. I love that channel madly. I don't think I've listened to much contemporary music in the last week or so unless it was Playing the Angel. I've been stuck on music recently. My iTunes or Pandora players have been on almost every minute I'm awake even when I'm watching the aforementioned video network.
My sister and I are planning a roadtrip in September when my parents get back from Europe. We're going to Texas to see our relatives and a couple of my sister's friends. I'm going mainly because I'm sick of Florida and I desperately need to get away. Only problem is I'll be away from a computer for two weeks which, even now, makes me feel withdrawal symptoms but in the back of my head I know the break will probably do me good. It'll be me, my sister and the kids hitting Texas and Oklahoma so I'll need to stock up on some books to kill time. I'd really like to get an iPod before the trip. I have over 20 hours of music on my computer and that's a hell of a lot of discs to be burning and carrying around but, at the same time, I don't want to be without my collection. I'm hopeless.
My cable company has a death wish I think. For the past *thinks* month and a half maybe my modem has been dying on me. I'm not talking about once in a while either. I mean once or twice a day at least. Some days I can only manage to get on for an hour or so before it dies for 6. The other day I only managed 5 minutes before it crashed. So I call up the support people and very nicely chew them out and they say that it must be the modem (apparently I had the bottom of the barrel crap model) so I replace it with a new one. Problem solved? No...of course not. It's still crashing. Now they think it might be a problem with the cable hookup itself and someone has to come look at it. Only problem is my house is a mess because of the rest of my family and they refuse to have anyone in until it's spotless. This house is never spotless with two toddlers running around. My family are slobs and I'm paying for it.
