My legs feel like Jell-o, and I'm slightly dehydrated, but that's ok. Screwing up just reinforces the lesson, forgetting my water bottle is a bad thing.
Day 1 was light, but reminded me how out of shape I was. 40 minutes on the bike and just some light upper body weight training an I was feeling it. I needed to rest and catch my breath a little too much.
Day 2 was a little better, 2x30 minute bike sessions (40 minute warm up and a 20 minute cool down) with some core body weight training. Right as I started using my arms the soreness from yesterday became noticeable. I wasn't going to train them again today even if I thought I wanted to. I threw in some leg presses to kill some time while I waited for the ab crunch machine. Man did I feel like a wimp when I was struggling with weight that was once easy for me to move.
Sunday has typically been my day off from the gym when I was going regularly, and I may or may not go tomorrow depending on what's going on.
What I do know is that I need to work out a proper exercise schedule so I don't find myself wandering between machines trying to decide if I want to use them or not.
I'll put that on today's to-do list as well.
Now for a quick shower and to help Scotty move.
Inspirational thought for the day:
