071202 [t] star NOW Special marathon interview: Shinhwa Kim Dongwan --> Shinhwa Shin Hyesung

While all the Shinhwa members are actively launching their individual solo activities, both Kim Dongwan and Shin Hyesung had launched a series of activities that attracted many attentions in the entire year of 2007. They released their albums around the same timing consecutively, with ballad songs as their choice which is not in correspondence to their dance group background. And without much awareness, both of them become the focus of comparison. After their albums are released successively, those variety show programs that Kim Dongwan attended, Shin Hyesung will be appearing in the subsequent week. Also, both of their songs had simultaneously ranked first in the music chart, and thus both of them started a hot battle. In addition, the stage that both of them performed together become a famous image that Shinhwa fans will never forget.
Year 2007, both who are friends, as well as rivals, have a recap of this year.
Dongwan: Could you believe that we people who meet each other in the name of Shinhwa has already surpassed 10 years? What’s the first impression among the members
Hyesung: Member’s first impression? I mentioned before, I couldn’t remember clearly. The first impression of Junjin is he’s like a kid, Eric and Andy gave me the feeling of ‘people coming from overseas’.
Dongwan: The past when we live together, we experienced many kinds of matters. Is there any interesting rumors?
Hyesung: When we are living together, didn’t you tell off the fans who are camping outside our house many times on ‘Study diligently’, ‘Cannot come here’. They are scared off by your naggings and whenever you appear, the fans will hide themselves. Therefore, sometimes, I will also do this. I will walk to the fans and said, “Dongwan is coming” (laughs). We have created many unforgettable memories; I must really thank those fans who wait in front of our house gate during that time.
Dongwan: Till now, you have collaborated with many artists. So, who do you want to collaborate with in the future?
Hyesung: I have collaborated with Kang SooJi and Lyn before, however their reverberation and the feelings they gave others are totally different. Each time of the singing, there’s a completely new feeling. Recently I wish to collaborate with HoLan from Clazziquai. I want to attempt to sing together with her once.
Dongwan: The song ‘Center’ from your 2nd jib, I remember that this is the first time you dance on stage since you debut as solo, how’s the feeling?
Hyesung: It’s lonely to dance alone on stage, and I felt a little embarrassing. Although I couldn’t dance well however, no matter what I need to display happiness. From the effects, the feelings I brought to the audiences is great joy.
Dongwan: You have performed in Korea and Japan before, is there anything that you think it is good or feel regretful about during the concert?
Hyesung: During the last performance of the solo concert, at Japan Nagoya. When the whole performance ended, the staffs and Jihoon brought out the hidden camera, and the cake as the band plays. At that time, my mind displays many different past memories, and unconsciously, my tears dropped (laughs). That’s the scene that leaves the deepest impression; do not want to spread it out. But what a pity, I still think that I could perform better.
Dongwan: You have challenged acting in the MV of your title song of your 2nd album, what’s your evaluation on it?
Hyesung: Acting isn’t something that anyone can do it (laughs). It’s the first time I am the lead and even after watching the MV many times, I still feel embarrassing. However, that’s what I merely want to display to everyone.
Dongwan: Although year 2007 is remaining only a couple of days, however is there anything that you felt that you must accomplish this year no matter what?
Hyesung: On the encore concert held at Hwa-jung gym in Seoul KOREA University on 11th of November, I met the fans once again. After that, in December we will be releasing ‘Shinhwa 2007 Winter Story’, and will be together with the members for concert tour in China and Japan. We will be preparing for Shinhwa concert and today we will be arranging for the traveling schedules for the concerts.
Dongwan: It’s a long time since Shinhwa released album. Lastly, please talk about your plans as well as saying something to the members.
Hyesung: Just like walking together till now, we must continue to be happy. We must present the appearances with the most ‘SHINHWA’ (myth) characteristics in the name of Shinhwa.
