071013 [n] Andy, “After challenging musical drama for a month, I am able to face the audiences finally.”

Shinhwa’s youngest member, Andy (26), debut as a member of Shinhwa in the music industry in year 1998. In the age of 26, he braved into the acting circle at his 10th year and become an ‘outstanding person out of all’.
During this period of time, as a member of the longevity boy band group, he expanded his acting experience with participation in MBC sitcom, ‘Non-Stop’. And in terms of his popularity and activeness, he doesn’t lose out to other artists as he makes his ‘magnificent steps’.
However, Andy has another different challenge in his 10th year of debut, as he keeps challenging to improve himself.
Andy’s work this round, is to act the role of a ‘Flower Boy’ star cum musical director, Jang JaeHyuk. Among the 6 members in Shinhwa, he become the ‘1st challenger’ in musical drama. In the group, he is responsible for RAP and this time round, it’s his first time in his 10 years, presenting his singing image in front of the fans.
On the 12th night, Andy had his new challenge of ‘Music in My Heart’ held in Freedom theater at Seoul University Road, displaying an appearance of full of excitement like a ‘newcomer’.
“Recently, I have been standing too much. Frankly saying, when I first stand at the stage, I was thinking whether can I do well. But the people around me have given me lots of encouragement, and I have also gained interest in musical drama myself and now I can bravely stand in front of the stage giving my best performance naturally. Just like in the concert, I can now see the expression of the audiences. Haha.”
For this musical drama performance, Andy has learnt to ‘digest’ what were taught on singing, acting and dancing and he will be acting on a role of Jang JaeHyuk who is unable speak when facing the person he loves.
“Through this performance, I have learnt a lot. Although it’s only a little but I am still able to digest (the learning). I must re learn again on stuffs like voice projection, singing and etc and now I have more passion on my career as an artist. And as compared to the pressure I have on this the first time, it had lessen a great deal therefore, recently I have invited Shinhwa hyungs and my family members to come to the theater for the musical drama. Haha.”
Andy, who happily has accepted the new challenge happily, is predicted to continue ‘Music in My Hear’ performance till early December. After the performance ended, he will be uniting with the rest of Shinhwa member at mid of December for ‘Shinhwa Asia Tour’ concerts in Japan and China.
