Musically speaking, I have had such a great year so far. It's fantastic having housemates who have both large music collections and a somewhat relaxed attitude to copyright law. I have so much new music on my laptop at the moment that I can (and do) easily spend hours just sitting here and listening, while playing solitaire and continually checking my email. Here are some of the albums I've been enjoying lately:
In alphabetical order, by band:
Funeral - The Arcade Fire
Moo, You Bloody Choir - Augie March
Silent Alarm - Bloc Party
Transatlanticism - Death Cab for Cutie
Bring It On - Gomez
Antics - Intepol
Muchas Gracias - Kyuss
Up the Bracket - The Libertines
State of Emergency - The Living End
A Certain Trigger - Maximo Park
Good News for People Who Love Bad News - Modest Mouse
Absolution - Muse
Meds - Placebo
Queens of the Stone Age - Queens of the Stone Age
An Empty Flight - Scared of Horses
Oh, Inverted World - The Shins
Agaentis Byrjun - Sigur Ros
Siamese Dream - The Smashing Pumpkins
Get Behind Me Satan - The White Stripes
Eternal Nightcap - The Whitlams
See what I mean? And the new SFK album comes out in a couple of months...
I downloaded the new single, Cigarettes and Suitcases, the other day. I think it's fantastic.
