A Thought on Death (one of my favorite subjects, really)

Apr 29, 2009 12:57

When I come close to despair, I must remember that I see the world through the senses and synapses of a fleshy, mortal, individual. There are in fact a majority of other perspectives of which mine is the rarest, narrowest view. To imagine my life as only that which I conceive as a flat, linear series of days and nights removes the infinite other dimensions it exists in. In short, I am a slave to my own limited conceptions, foolishly dead to all other modes of life but to the one which must, rightfully end.

This may not relieve anyone other than myself, and even that until I come about to refute it. Still, as I cannot change the fact of death, I might as well change my feelings towards it, so that I might not live onto death in terror.
