Title: Laws Are Made To Be Broken (Prologue/?)

Warnings: M/M relationship and violence
Spoilers: None of Torchwood, the whole I, Robot film.
Disclaimer: I own neither Torchwood nor I, Robot (sadly).

Summary: In 2035, the community has the help of robots. Jack Harkness is a Cardiff Police homicide detective, who is sent to investigate the death of Dr. Owen Harper, a scientist at U.K Robotics. Jack believes that a new NS-5 robot, Toshiko, killed Harper, which means the robot broke the Law of Robotics. With the help of Ianto Jones, the company psychologist, they try to find answers to the mystery.

LAW I
A ROBOT MAY NOT INJURE A HUMAN BEING OR, THROUGH INACTION, ALLOW A HUMAN BEING TO COME TO HARM.

Jack knows what's going to happen. He knows that everyone involved is already dead. Still, he thrashes around, trying to open the blasted door of his car. He feels the water collecting in his throat as he tries desperately to get to the girl in the next car.

LAW II
A ROBOT MUST OBEY ORDERS GIVEN IT BY HUMAN BEINGS EXCEPT WHERE SUCH ORDERS WOULD CONFLICT WITH THE FIRST LAW.

He hears the metal feet on the back window of his car; he knows what it is and what it means for him and the girl. He continues to struggle with his door, in the hope that maybe he can save her, but to no avail as the girl continues to bang on her window. That's when he feels the pulling.

LAW III
A ROBOT MUST PROTECT ITS OWN EXISTENCE AS LONG AS SUCH PROTECTION DOES NOT CONFLICT WITH THE FIRST OR SECOND LAW.

She continues to struggle to get out, but just tumbles further and further into the murky green abyss. Jack continues to struggle as a metal hand brakes the window not immersed by water. He is pulled and feels the tearing, the ripping. And he screams…

So, this is something I've had in my brain for a while. I've thought out all of the characters, the plot etc etc, it's just taken me forever to get it written down! I'd be interesting in your opinions for this crossover. This is the character list:
