BACKGROUND: Cessily spent her childhood in a loving family. The only child, she was beloved of her mother and father, and was very close to them. Her life was normal: she did well in school, spent time with her family, and was a cheerleader. When she turned sixteen, however, everything changed. Her mutation manifested, and while at first it was simply a few spots on her skin, soon her entire body had turned into nontoxic liquid mercury, much to her dismay.
This event was rather traumatizing, and while she quickly learned how to keep her body in a human form, her parents only made it worse by not accepting her as a mutant. While they did not outright reject her, they kept her hidden away for fear of what others would think, and clearly had no idea what to do with her. When they learned about the Xavier Institute, they were quick to send her there, away from their home.
PERSONALITY: Cessily is a nice, laid-back girl, willing to go with the flow. She is passionate about the things she loves and the people she cares about, and always ready to help out and do her best at everything, and seems pretty normal and relaxed about everything. However, the roots of these behaviors is a streak of insecurity caused by her parents' rejection of her once she developed her mutation. She would love to get rid of it and go back to the way things were, and because the people she cared about most all but abandoned her when she was most in need of them, she is very loyal to those who will stick by her. Even if she isn't entirely sure what's being done is a good idea, she will go along with it so as not to be alone. While she will not do this no matter what, it is a definite issue she isn't really aware of.
APPEARANCE: Cessily has red hair, kept in a ponytail, and likes wearing brighter colors. She's of average build for someone who exercises. Oh, and her body is made of nontoxic mercury, making it entirely silvery--even her eyes.
POWERS: Cessily is a mercury-based lifeform, and can shapeshift. This means she doesn't have to eat or drink, although she doesn't realize it. She also doesn't breathe as organic lifeforms do, and is immune to things which affect organic lifeforms (deathtouches, for example). She can shapeshift into anything she can think of, more or less. Also, she's weak against electricity.
