They only care about their iBullshit now. Well they can shove it up their iAss as far as I'm concerned.
If this crap continues I may have to move away from Mac OS X. They used to be dedicated to the platform and that's what made it so awesome. Now they're shoving it aside in favor of GestapoOS.
The pretty much final straw for me: finding out this week my new-last-summer MBP/hard drive combo is crippled down to SATA I. Because, well... We don't know, because any attempt to find out is crippled by mactard 'hardware experts' screaming about how you don't NEED SATA II.
I'm at the latest EFI, 1.7. There seems to be some reference to going *back* to 1.6 to fix it, but getting to the bottom of the issue is, as I said, hard. There's another reference to the OEM hard drives just being crippled down to 1.5. I'll try another one and see what happens.
...and your talk about iDevices is right on. Love post-OS X macs, hate the iPhone and related devices. Rather like my Nexus One though.

But yeah, Mactards annoy the hell out of me too. They go along with what Apple does no matter how incredibly stupid it is.
