Crunchyroll Will Stream Cardcaptor Sakura

CLAMP is undeniably one of the best mangaka ever exist. Their works have always been successful in capturing the heart of many readers. I've been their fans for nearly two decades. Their first work that I encountered is Tokyo Babylon. The two episodes OVA were aired in local TV during their first trial run.

Unbeknownst to me, Tokyo Babylon offers the implicit love story between two boys. Tokyo Babylon is the first BL work that I've ever known. At that time I wasn't familiar with BL concept so I posted a stupid question which I later regret, "Is Subaru actually woman?"
I was wondering because Subaru looks so deeply in love with Seishirou. Yeah, I was naive back then.

Few years after Tokyo Babylon, Cardcaptor Sakura was aired here every Sunday morning. It was my favorite series because Sakura, the main character, showed up in various cute clothes.

The good news is Crunchyroll has announced at Otakon yesterday that it will stream 70 episodes of Cardcaptor Sakura beginning on Tuesday, August 12.

Cardcaptor Sakura tells the story of a 10 year old girl Kinomoto Sakura who lives a normal life with her older brother Toya and widowed father Fujitaka until she found a glowing book which later revealed to be a magic book. The cards which were sealed inside the book fled and it's Sakura's responsibility to collect and seal them back.

I own the manga and one of the OST CDs. They're still sitting quietly inside my bookshelf. Sometimes I take them out to re-read them. But lately I don't have that much leisure time. I barely even touch the latest release manga. There are around 100 volumes of manga from various titles that I haven't read ~___~;

I'm not sure if it's closely related to the stream plan or not, but CLAMP has announced the release plan for various Cardcaptor Sakura goodies as listed here and here. Thanks to cutesherry for the update.
