Once upon a time, there was an island in the east where Oni and humans lived together. As the strongest warrier on the island, the people favored Oni. One day, someone who was jealous of his power unleashed a rampaging beast. Oni demonstrated his overwhelming power to protect the people and finally defeated the beast.
Instead of being grateful, the people became afraid of Oni’s strength and imprisoned him in a cave. Feeling devastated after the betrayal of people who were dear to him, Oni turned against humanity. His anger and sadness formed flames that covered the island. The island became known as the island of the demons.
