Touken Ranbu is Driving Me Crazy
I'm not a gamer and won't be one. But lately I'm so into Touken Ranbu or literally Wild Swords Dance in English. This free-to-play collectible card browser video game developed by Nitroplus and DMM Games is available only in Japan.
Touken Ranbu made its debut in January 2015 and immediately stole public's attention, especially women. Until June 2015, the number of players reached more than a million.
In this online game, players assume the role of a saniwa (sage) who travels into the past to defeat evil forces. They have the ability to animate legendary swords which are depicted as attractive young men.
Its popularity resulting in the mass production of various merchandises, including action figure. Orange Rouge releases four types of 1/8 scale complete figure with the first one to come out is Kogitsunemaru this month. Kashu Kiyomitsu is planned for May release while Tsurumaru Kuninaga on June, followed by Mikazuki Munechika two months after.
TACHI SWORD: Kogitsunemaru is voiced by Kondou Takashi.
UCHIGATANA: Kashu Kiyomitsu, voiced by Toshiki Masuda, is a sword owned by Okita Souji.
TACHI: Tsurumaru Kuninaga, one of Imperial Collection sword. He's voiced by Saito Soma.
TACHI: The prettiest sword among all. Mikazuki Munechika, voiced by Toriumi Kousuke, was born in Heian period.
I want them all but that would cost me JPY 55,400 (IDR 6524K) to buy the full set *___*
Shipping cost and tax excluded. If included, I might have to pay around JPY 70,000 (IDR 8243K). My family will certainly complain about this LOL
Aside from those beautifully made figures, Good Smile Company also releases the nendoroid version. So far four nendoroid have been released. They're Mikazuki Munechika, Kashu Kiyomitsu, Kogitsunemaru, and Tsurumaru Kuninaga. The other three had been planned for 2016 release. They're Mitsutada Shokudaikiri (March), Ichigo Hitofuri (May), and Yagen Toushirou (June). And I have preordered them XD
