After announcing her plan to put Gin no Saji manga on a short hiatus last month, Arakawa Hiromu -once again- giving out a surprising news. The 13th volume of Gin no Saji revealed that the climax will be imminent.
I don’t know if she changes the original plan halfway due to family circumstances or it’s her original plan afterall to end the manga shortly after volume 14.
In August last year Arakawa told the fans that she would slow the pace of her manga due to the health of a family member declining. Eight months later, she said that her family member’s medical treatment is finished so she could resume her work.
SLICE OF LIFE: Hachiken Yuugo the city boy slowly getting used to the new environment with the help of his new friends at Ooezo Agricultural School.
Gin no Saji is a slice of life series about the daily struggling of students in an agricultural high school. Hachiken Yuugo, a city boy from Sapporo, enrolls at Ooezo Agricultural School in the countryside. His decision causes a further strained relationship with his parents.
Raised in big city, Yuugo is shocked with modest life in his new home. But soon he finds himself slowly getting used to the new environment as he interacts deeper with his schoolmates.
Arakawa launched the series in 2011. The following year Gin no Saji won 2012’s Manga Taisho and Booklog Awards. In 2013, the series won Shogakukan Manga Awards.
The simple yet touching series full of the sparkling youth combined with detailed and neat artwork create a manga that easily captivates the readers’ heart. Following the success of the printed manga, Fuji TV aired the anime adaptation in summer 2013. Second season premiered in January 2014.
