life?
i've been wanting to update for a while, simply because i haven't
...i kinda see why miia says having twitter = you don't end up updating lj as much - cause if it's random things i'll spazz there instead...
(at least it has made me mostly good about not spazzing on fb, unless it's photos or things i don't want on twitter?)
anyways, life. when did i last update properly?

oh but first - some fandom: i'm looking for ebi's kyoukan telebi (apr 25) and dodesuka (apr 17&18) appearances if ANYONE has leads/links/search term suggestions. they're the only appearances i'm still missing except the full sports day
so things. it's now been a year since i first flew to japan T_T
which also means, I'M DONE UNIVERSITY! no more undergrad! i'm confident about my last couple marks i don't know yet, and my mum's already considered things to do to celebrate after my convocation in june since it's morning, we might do high tea. i am excite at that possibility :D i haven't gone for high tea since scotland 10yrs ago
...which speaking of, my mum did offer the other day (when i half-jokingly told her my interest) of paying a bit if i wanted to go to england with her in august when she has the boat
.....but i don't think i will ._. i'd be really awesome and cheaper than the crazy trip to tokyo i wanted to do in february, but still would cost me ~800-1000$ which i don't really have and should go towards japan savings/paying off osap that becomes due in july
she also mentioned nyc which we've wanted to visit together, and usually only costs ~1000$ overall, so much more reasonable and still fun (even if no narrowboats are involved)
...but either way i think i have to figure out work for the next while first :S
anyways, as for my last few school things, the major project was of course my independent study! which i demo'd at our showcase last monday, and anyone who discussed it with me seemed to like it ^__^
posted pics of the event on fb but i'll add a few here too i guess~
but now i want to do costume stuff again >__< it's now been 2 full years without any costume calls or classes so... .__.;
but proof i have the right dream when i can stress/listen to 5stars and go through the pv on repeat while not sleeping for 3 days because i fail and managed to not really do any work the whole semester and STILL be in love with ebi. and not only that but actually being disappointed in my work and wanting to do more with it...obviously i'm on the right track
now i just need J&A to see my work and like me and i'm set :D
(speaking of which, one of my friends from school is totally interested in ebi! :D i showed her some of 5stars dvd and she loved it - she's a perfume fan but was saying how she doesn't get the chance to talk about jpop/learn more w/ ppl and wanted to know more about the stuff i squee over. more converts! ^__________^ also showed her SHH too. she was amused. but then we had to actually study for our exam ^^; )
and colin bought me a yummy amazing yummy chocolate and white chocolate cake to celebrate and it was yummy. did i mention it was yummy? yummy. just from loblaws. but from their awesome bakery they have in the one near me. so super yummy :D :D :D
now i want cake :(
i have somewhat been applying for theatre work/internships. have some to submit this week too, but now classes/exams are done i have to step up my game, or at least get myself some more temp work while i try :S
i also quickly failed at keeping on top of japanese studies even though i had no excuses, but i have been trying to go to language exchange meetups (there's 2 different ones each week my friend and i try to make) and those have been fun^^
other news: my middle sister is getting married! in september. they're hoping for labour day weekend. and then a close friend of mine is getting married too at the end of september. my oldest sister is on mat leave, so i've been hanging out with her more often recently (and thus also my nephew, so have been getting more used to 'ok, so i can hold the baby and he won't break. excellent.' ^^; ) also fresh doughnut. i had them. they were mini size and right out of the doughnut maker and hot and DELICIOUS. (←cafe mickey's on peter). i also tried ed's real scoop during that mini spell of super warm weather we got the beginning of april. had tiramisu and cassis flavours of gelato and it was also DELICIOUS. then had a DELICIOUS smoked salmon quiche at a nearby sandwich place, and we've tried a couple other places too. also had DELICIOUS cupcakes last week for my friend's birthday. they were vegan and tasted like brownies and amazing. and the vegan+gluten free ones were more like cupcakes and still amazing. now i want cake moar :(

since i haven't been bogged down w/ classes i've worked a bit more, so have gotten to see a lot more shows that were on at nbs ^^
oh, and i keep forgetting to mention, but i saw 5stars irl!
...there was an urban dance competition last weekend, and one group of 5 guys totally did 5 stars pose! i was glad i was sitting down so no one would have been able to look over and see me laughing XD the rap of the song they were dancing to had the word 'star' in it so they all posed EXACTLY the same for a minute. IT WAS AWESOME. especially because 4 of them were good looking and asian with nice nice dancer arms ;)
also, i think everyone on lj who would be able to come knows already, but may 9th i'm doing karaoke for my birthday/end of school celebrations/because karaoke needs to be had - 3pm at bmb :D
plus the toronto comic artists festival is next weekend, so ian/buru are down to visit! looking forward to that~ AND i'm up in ottawa the week after my birthday ...although it seems almost no one else will be then :P but that's ok, my mum's gonna put me to work on some house renos
...and i can't think what else that was exciting might've happened the last few months so um.
my final word is to say 誕生日おめでとうfoxy! my jyannis almost-twin is 28 now, so that means mine's coming up! 2 weeks just about! ^____^
(and that means yamada's soon too. 19. yamada's going to be 19. O_O! )

my project! the program you can see on the left monitor makes the two visualiser programs on the laptop screen run - these i caught one from the start and one from the end (as you can tell by the pv ;) ) ...there's more pv&less vdo effects than i originally wanted, just cause i didn't have time to play around more, plus there should be subtitles but i didn't set them to be following cues that ran automatically
kisumai album just barely fit. i need a new cd rack before new cds :S
and random winter picture. this was either xmas day or close to it? would've been posted earlier maybe if i hadn't left my camera at my mum's house after the holidays >>;
oh that's right! the other thing. my mum bought a house! it's in a smaller town an hr or so outside toronto, she's planning on moving in after a year, so she's already managed to find tenants for the interim...buuut then she saw another cute house she liked in the same town, so she's actually mentioned being open to buying ANOTHER house and letting the tenants stay if they want to/are good tenants after the 1 year contract's done XDD
...i swear i would not be suprised if my mum just retires to england instead lol. except she probably wouldn't now she's got a grandkid XD
...and that's actually about it for my long and mostly about real life and not fandom update entry. watch me not write another one until august or something ^^; XD
