so omg duel jewel sound amazing live and i probably would've been really into the show if i hadn't gone in late and ended up behind like the one tall guy in the whole venue (we totally didn't expect them to play first, and didn't think to ask before going off to check what time mothercoat were playing next door & also waited outside a bit extra time so rachel could sell her ticket since she wasn't feeling great)
luckily only missed the first song and a half or so though, so they were just ending one song, then went into azure and i was just all askdfs and totally don't remember what else they played after that XD; there were a couple songs i didn't really recognise, so they must be super new ...but i bought their latest mini album (& a tshirt and a towel) so i'll make sure to have a listen for them after i get to vancouver or back home~ (and of course listen to the new single which i didn't buy)
i...don't actually know any members' names aside from natsuki so singer not only has a gorgeous voice, but gorgeous smile too! like serious woah. and they all look a bit older, but still really good (comparing w/ photos/pvs i've seen)
ahh...i really wish i could've been here for their oneman on tuesday :S that would probably have been more epic ...but since it was a small venue, i think a couple of them possibly noticed me even though i was near the back? i was the only white person there afterall XD;
after their portion ended singer and one of the others came back on to do a bit of an mc, and i'm pretty sure singer looked straight at me (also one of the guitarists i think noticed me during the live)

anyway, stayed for some of the second group, which was an oldskool rock type band (and would explain why there where a number of older ppl at the venue...then decided i'd much rather see what bands were playing alongside mothercoat
and am i glad i did! got food too (partly cause i was starving, partly cause in mothercoat's venue smoking was allowed so wanted to avoid that a bit longer) so just missed the first two acts, but the 3rd group (called U&Design) were really really good! very upbeat but relaxed style of alt rock, totally had me going along to the music. and i picked up their cd too, so definitely gonna share some songs cause there's a few of you who definitely have to listen to them!
also the lead/vocalist guy was pretty adorbs, he kinda rambled and laughed alot whenever he mc'd-must've been nervous i think ^^
and then mothercoat! totally just as fun as from last year :D and since i'd already talked to the 2 singers while checking what time they'd be on & pick up the cd, but mentioned i might not get to see them cause of my other show, they were really happy to see i was able to make it, it was rather adorbs ...plus they were really happy to know someone who'd seen them in canada was at their show in shibuya ^^ (also mentioned that to the guitarist after the show, and we did a kinda fail highfive XD; )
anyway, they did some of the same songs as before/on the cd i already have so i was totally jumping to those, plus some new ones which were just as crazy-energetic-weird-awesome as the ones i knew :)
so all in all once again it worked out to a fun night, even though there were a couple slip ups at the start
(also it turned out rice had their 10th anniv. live downstairs from mothercoat...but it was getting late when i got out so i didn't end up sticking around to see them leave. can't believe those 2 have been together as that duo for 10 years already though!)
also went to the ueno zoo this afternoon-but we were later than i hoped getting out to it, so ended up missing the reptiles :( no giant snakes for me :(
still fun though~ ...tomorrow we'll be going to the imperial palace in chiyoda (?) because we're going out with colin's parents' associate again sunday, and sat. is l'arc! :D (didn't have any takers for my extra ticket today, but keeping my fingers crossed)
