最近。。。
i don't think i've properly updated my lj in a month now :S ...i've not been doing it so much this whole year in general too-probably cause i've been more social irl
which speaking of, may is gonna be a fab. month for socialising-i'm seeing nearly all my close circle of hs (and elementary) friends (starting tomorrow!^____^ mary, i think it's been ~ a year since we've hung out-too looooooong for how long we've known each other :S )
anyways, general thoughts & updates & stories & life:
1. birthday on the 11th! nothing specific irl for that day, but it's also the start of A.B.C-Z's solo-produced cons ^_________________^ and hopefully the grand opening of angel_hasshi which me and luma_chan are starting up ^^ (gonna read through the profile info for a bit now before bed to edit)
2. doing some bday celebrating this weekend, what with both mary & davina being able to visit me + my mum's passing through toronto after a business trip tomorrow, and it's my eldest sis' bday in another week after mine-so we're doing a bit of a family dinner tomorrow night + going out with some mutual friends (the oft-dubbed 't.o. peeps') sat.
3. aside from a few shifts at nbs next week i'm pretty much out of work already :S i even gave myself a month buffer to find summer work and it's gone already X_x i had all last week off-wanted to visit ottawa, but just ended up really sick the whole week, more than just a regular cold even though i didn't seem to have too much fever :S (don't worry - all better now^^ )
...but that also meant the full week i had to job hunt & get letters out & etc didn't happen :S
4. seeing the harry potter exhibit at the ontario science centre on friday :D the no pictures sucks (but obv makes sense) ...one of the times i wish i still used my old cellphone (since it didn't have a camera)...not sure exactly how anal they'll be about that though
5. edibi's bday the day after mine-he's turning the big 3-0, so he actually rented out a club and it's gonna be a huge bash next sat. with a few of our friends dj-ing (him included)
6. then the weekend after, my second-oldest friend (yay sharon & her impeccable timing!) will be coming down to visit toronto
...and week after that (you guessed it, Anime North weekend), jen & andrea & corey are all down for the weekend, and me/jen are going to NextMusicfromTokyo too :D yay j-indies!
and then we have time in june reserved for ottawa + miyavi on the 24th!
(...and i just posted that much with only my guests list :S)
...also got most of my projects back now, so i can finish my corset (hopefully by AN) & colin's jacket
did pretty well on everything (even my fail accessories project wasn't horrible) so i think i'll do decent this semester - my prof even kept my ruff for display-i was really happy with how it turned out (since the last time i tried making one it was bleeh) so yay ^^
for summer employment...i don't really know :S
i haven't even looked at my resumes yet to update them (&i'm always trying to change my theatre one, cause it's bleh imo)
also have to write up a letter to send to my lx prof to pass on w/ a copy of my resume
and check up on my references (well, they're mostly fine, but i should ask one of my wardrobe profs)
...but aside from maybe getting to do some job-shadowing through my lx prof, i dunno :S
i really really hate job hunting the most! ...and even though colin always offers to forward his parents my resume, i just can't stand being in an office that long (even if it does mean living on the ottawa river the whole summer) ...i do need to send my resume into the nac though
bleh, even just thinking about it all makes my stomach churn >.< *sigh*
oh, i had totally gotten off-topic from one of the main reasons i'm updating XD
...colin's drunken antics actually benefitted us for once :P (and i'll ignore just how much he drank, since the first thing he did after waking up was to apologise + for the reason below)
...anyway, we've been having an issue for a while about one of our neighbours smoking on their balcony a looot, but didn't want to complain until we'd looked up regulations + figured out who & maybe tried talking to them...which he ended up doing this morning ...turns out it was our neighbours who's balcony is connected to us (another young couple), but the guy was really nice and apologetic about it...turns out he's aiming for his canadian citizenship, but even though he's been living over here a while already he still didn't really know too many people outside a certain circle & still has trouble with english (since they're korean), so he was really happy to meet us (+ colin was all 'yay you're korean, do you like starcraft??' XD fanboy XD cause he was drunk (our neighbour didn't even know about it though lol) )
so it was nice to properly meet & talk w/ one of our neighbours finally (even if it was 7am *rolls eyes in colin's direction* :S) ...he was trying to teach colin some korean words too, but i kinda forget them :S, except chungi = friend right? ^^
anyway, that turned out well, and at least i was up early enough i had plenty of time to tidy the apt without having to rush tomorrow morning (except all my pillow cases seem to have disappeared-must have gotten mixed into my laundry or something :S)
so angel_hasshi editing, then bed, then a mary (and hopefully davina *hugs^^* tomorrow :D )
