ok, so i have all the love in the world for people who upload music, i really do. you guys are awesome and amazing and i appreciate it tons, because without you guys, my life would be a complete asian-music-less place...and who the hell would want to live in that world?
...i just have one teeensy tiiiny itty bitty request...
WHY THE FAHCK CAN'T YOU SPEND 30 SECONDS ADDING THE RELEASE DATE TO THE FRICKEN ALBUM FOLDERS?!?!?!
for everyone who does that already, i love you so so much and i wish i could go to wherever you are and hug you
for everyone else:
please, i don't care if you put it in brackets, parantheses, at the beginning or end of the folder name, but at least add SOMETHING along the lines of "2005.04.03" (i will quietly point out organisation of electronic (or any) data usually goes from broadest, to most focused, thus it is standard to write dates as yyyy/mm/dd).
f you're uploading the file, you most likely (though i realise not always) ripped it, which means you have a copy of the cd sitting in front of you on your desk. every album ever made has a full release date printed somewhere for copyrights, usually on the back of the case. please make use of this valuable tool for data organisation.
it is *not fun* spending 4hrs on something that could've taken 40 minutes, because i had to look up the dates for probably 50 albums, at least...and i'm not even exaggerating, i know how much i had to sort
