First post. The basics of Hybrid.

Plot Outline:
Dyrico has always had a rough life. Kakumei has always had a haunting life. Ever since it started, for both of them.
Beginning with the 5 Stages of Grief, Dyrico begins to tell her story of living in the institution, suffering under the hands of the so-called Scientists "Fighting for the greater good," meeting friends, being betrayed, falling in love, watching death after death of her fellow comrads, all created in the same twisted way as her. Scientific twisting of breeds, species, and races that were never meant to touch. A living Taboo. She tells the story leading up to her meeting with her conflict, Kakumei.
Mirroring Dyrico's story, in alternating chapters, Kakumei also begins with the 5 Stages of Grief, as he relates his haunting childhood with a devilish father and a sorcering mother, his pain of being left alone, surviving on the streets, fighting his demonic hungers, training roughly and determinedly under the knighthood, and knowing the pains and guilt of hurting the innocent while trying to fight for them. He tells his side of the story leading up to his meeting with his Saviour, Dyrico.
Ending in a cliffhanger as gold coins spill onto a table-top near a knife, we learn first hand the troubling lives of these two heroes.Hybrid: No Angel, No Demon is the beginning to Hybrid, which details the lives, adventures, and romances of Kakumei and Dyrico after they meet. The conflict of The Institution, The Greater Good, The Ever-Night all come into play and set the stage.
Setting:
Underlying corrupt governments, a place where nothing is what it seems, friends are enemies and enemies are friends, a sci-fi world with dragons, magic, and elves (oh my!) is what creates Dyrico and Kakumei's planet known as Asrea.
Influence by Gods and Goddesses, it's a pulsating world. Filled with large cities run by thieves and samaritans, forests with elves and strange creatures, laboratories with haunting pasts, stained with blood, contrasting country-sides, bright and full, with much life. There are temples of the good, evil, and neutral powers.
The Goddess most often mentioned is Yulae, a goddess who is neutral, strange, and little is actually known of her. She influences Dyrico in many ways.

Main:
Dyrico
- Starting at about age 3, leading up to age 18; female
- Silver hair, black bangs, one gold eye, one blue eye. Light skinned. About 5'4", thin build.
- Gentle, though the beginning starts out with a RARE show of cynicism and sarcasm. She's quiet, but powerful. Her body has little endurance, though what she lacks in endurance, she makes up for in general power.
- No specific training; she has training in EVERYTHING and has powerful mental abilities. Hybrid.
Kakumei
- Starting about age 3, leading up to age 24; male
- Silver hair, golden eyes. Dark skinned. About 6'1", strong, muscular build.
- Cynical, but kind. He has a soft side for children and people weaker than him. But he is swift with anger and will get what he wants no matter what. He can be loud, but is generally like a teddy bear. He has great endurance, if not much power. His demonic side brings out more power in him.
- Training with swords, hand-to-hand combat, etc. Trained with the Knights of his city (still working on that name). Very few mental abilities. Half-demon.

The idea is all still a work in progress that needs to get finished in the next few days X_X At least I started the 5 Stages of Grief already.
