Catching up and my 2 cents

Nov 12, 2008 02:29

I've been so busy with work and school that I haven't had much time to get on here that much and post and reply like I should and I apologize. Since I went to work again at the physical therapy clinic I worked at before I haven't had the energy to really do much. It hard work and I read somewhere when I was going to massage school that when a person gives a massage they transfer part of their chi to that person and vice versa, so I think what ever is wrong with my patients, I get a some it too. I know it sounds weird but I've been a massage therapist going on 9 years and I believe it. I hurt in places that I've never hurt in before. But hey, it pays good so I can finish school.

I was so excited Monday I couldn't sit still. I had my bags all packed and I was getting ready to head to Dallas which is 2 1/2 hours from where I live in OK just to see Robert Pattinson. And I go out to start my car and the damn thing wouldn't start and still hasn't started. I have to take it today and see what the hell's wrong with it. Probably something minor. I was really looking forward to getting an autograph. He'll probably never be back this way again and it bums me out. Man, I sound like one weird older women who obsess on celebs. He, He. He like 11 or 12 years younger than me. But he's fine a holy hell. Also I saw that craziness happened in San Franscico and I don't want any part of that. I don't like big crowds. My bitchy side comes out in a bad way when I'm around that kind of stuff.

Now if Jason Behr was in Dallas, I swear I would've bought a friggin bus ticket and made my happy ass stand in line freaking out the whole time but with my mouth shut. And I'm completely unashamed about saying that too. It's okay cuz he's 6 months older than me. But don't get me started on him. I'm mad at him right now. Being his fan has been a rollarcoaster and right now I'm close to getting off the ride. So much talent wasted and lying dormant. It's a damn shame. I've been his fan since he appeared on Buffy in 1997 and have followed his career ever since. But it's been a difficult all the way. If only I could be his manager, he would be working all the time. There have been so many new TV shows popping up lately with roles that I think he would be perfect for. Maybe he's working on something and we don't know about it right now. I hope so. I'm still keeping a hopeful eye out for any news.

Oh yeah.  I finally updated my fic One Moment More Saga check it out HERE

My Review
I bought  this soundtrack from itunes the day it came out and bought the physical CD yesterday so I can have the poster inside (I got Bella, BTW)

1. Supermassive Black Hole (Twilight Soundtrack Version) - Muse 4 out of 5
It's not one of my favorite Muse songs but it's pretty rockin and fits pretty well.
2. Decode - Paramore 5 out of 5
Perfect lyrics, sound, and I love Hayley's voice in this song. Very longing and powerful.
3. Full Moon - The Black Ghosts 4 out of 5
Love it! It has a kind of creepy melody that works.
4. Leave Out All The Rest - Linkin Park 4 out of 5
Great love ballad that works pretty well with the story.
5. Spotlight [Twilight Mix] - Mutemath 5 out of 5
I love Mutemath. It's a great fast paced song that will have you rocking.
6. Go All The Way [Into the Twilight] - Perry Farrell 1 out of 5 (being generous)
Can't stand this song. It doesn't work at all aside from the title. It's like club music with an annoying high pitch female singer that makes me want to pull out my hair.
7. Tremble For My Beloved - Collective Soul 2 out of 5
I adore Collective Soul. But this song stick out in a bad way. It's a great unique sounding song but it doesn't seem to fit.
8. I Caught Myself - Paramore 5 out of 5
Another great Paramore song. The lyrics fit so well. You can tell they are Twilight fans by the way it's written.
9. Eyes On Fire - Blue Foundation 5 out of 5
This is one of my favorites on the whole OST. It's so haunting and cool sounding like it should be for a vampire movie. The lead voice gets to me and the lyrics are perfect for Bella and Edward's relationship.
10. Never Think - Rob Pattinson 5 out of 5 ( and not cuz I think he's hot)
I'm a HUGE fan of Rob's music. His sound is something that is right up my musical alley. Accoustic, heartbreaking, real emotions behind the vocals. Not all shiny and polished to where it sounds like a manufactured copy like some many out there. This song is beautiful and full of that. Yes it's hard to understand the lyrics but the meaning is there.
11. Flightless Bird, American Mouth - Iron & Wine 5 out of 5
Kristen picked this out to be used during the prom scene and she's one smart cookie who has great taste in music. Folkie, accoustic like I like it and beautiful for the scene.
12. Bella's Lullaby - Carter Burwell 3 out of 5
I don't hate it like so many others. But I am disappointed like everyone else and agree with a lot of points. It was supposed to be piano only not orchestra. And it's not what we've all invisioned it would be. It was too important to the story to have it be half-assed. It's pretty though.

~itunes extras~

Let Me Sign - Rob Pattinson 4 out of 5 The only reason for not making it a 5 is because it's not long enough. Other than that, I love it from start to finish. Cool electric guitar intro followed and accompanied by accoustic and then his haunting voice. La Traviata - The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra 3 out of 5 Very upbeat and swaying opera. I Like it alone but not in this soundtrack. Wondering where it's going to go in the movie.
Clair de Lune - The APM Orchestra 5 out of 5 Of course this belongs on this soundtrack and it's, as always, enchanting.

Ok that my 2 cents on that. Worth the money!
Coming next Roswell, True Blood, and Twilight related icons. And possible a few fanmixes.
