10 song that I've been listening alot lately. Forgive me for some of the melancholy choices but that's what I listen to when I write.
The Scientist ~ Aimee Mann (live Coldplay cover)
I love this version so much!! Aimee gives it a different pleading type sound to the song.
Champagne High ~ Sister Hazel
My all time favorite Sister Hazel song. It's bittersweet in it's meaning.
Songbird ~ Eva Cassidy (Christine McVie cover)
If at all possible find whatever Eva Cassidy song you can find and it will be so worth it. She could take a song that was sung by someone else and make it sound so much better and she owned it. I have alot of her songs. Just let me know if you want me to up load some for you. ***Highly recommend this
First Day of my Life ~ Bright Eyes
Loved this song so much when I first heard it and then found out it was used in Jason's movie Frost and that made me love it even more.
Distant Dreamer ~ Duffy
She one of my newest obsessions. I've had her full album for a while thanks to the awesome people at
indie_exchange . Major pimpage to them. She kind of reminds me of Dusty Springfield alittle. Her whole album is amazing. If you want me to upload that one I will.
No Ones Gonna Love You ~ Band of Horses
What can I say about Band of Horses? Totally in love with everything they do. They run a close second to Muse for me and that's saying alot. I have one of their albums if you'd like it as well. ***Highly recommend this.
Everything Changes ~ Staind
This song remind me of the only Ros Fanfic that ever made me cry like a friggin 2 year old. It was used so perfectly in Burning to Feel by Sylvia37 a fic that ripped my heart out and fed it to me. So I like listening to it so I can relive the moment. LOL
Mean to Me ~ Tonic
Crazy good song. Tonic is the shit of 90's alternative rock in the best way.
These are the Days ~ Van Morrison
I used this song for my wedding and still listen to it even though I'm no longer married. It's just so beautiful.
Please Stay ~ Mindy Smith
Sweet angel voice of Mindy puts me in a writing mood. She inspired One Moment More from her song of the same title. Please Stay is so sweet.
