Man, I'm tired...

Things are still going pretty well. I did get the job at Comcast and I started officially on Tuesday of this week. We spent the ENTIRE DAY on tuesday filing paperwork, which was crazy. Then we found out that for the rest of the week we would be thrown out in the field with other ComTechs while they waited on 1 or 2 other people to get hired on and fill up the class. These last three days have been pretty exhausting. I've gotten home every single day and just sat down for like an hour before I bothered to get up and do anything. Hell, yesterday was so exhausting that I came home from work and pretty much just went straight to sleep. But I've gotta say that I'm glad that they threw us right out into the field because I've learned so much just in three days. We've done TONS of installs as well as several trouble calls. I found out from the trainer that we'll be back in the classroom next week but the week after we'll be back out into the field again so it seems like most of the learning with this job is just hands-on experience.

In other news, I got my Bush money at the beginning of the week and decided that instead of putting the money towards paying off my computer (which I should have) I would buy a new TV. I looked at many, many, MANY TVs to see which met the criterias I set for price, quality, resolution and ports and finally decided on a Sanyo from Walmart. I WAS just going to go pick one up from the store but they told me that there was a different price on them than what I saw online so I did a site to store order just to find out a couple days later that they have them for the same price in the store. Now I have to wait atleast another week for my TV to arrive so that I can go pick it up. The good thing about it was that I used the Bill-Me-Later service to pay for it so I actually won't have to pay for the TV for 90 days, which is good because I'm actually quite broke with not working for a week and a half added to the fact that my hours were already cut down at my previous job. It'll be fine, though, because by the time I get the TV they should have my Platinum cable package all set up on my account. I've just got one last really big cable bill to pay and then my new bill will be less than $20 and that's with 16Mbps internet and two HD/ DVR boxes.

As far as my computer goes, my plans are to simply start doubling up on my payments which should allow me to have it paid off by the end of the year which was my promise to my Mom and Stepdad who's credit I used to get a Dell account. Speaking of which, I think I still have a $50 gift card to use with them...
