Happy New Year!

2005! Woo! I hope everybody had an awesome New Year's.

This is kind of a strange year for me, resolution-wise, because for the past seven years I've always resolved to keep a journal. And the sad thing is, every year that resolution only lasted about four days! Haha, but now that doesn't really seem to be an issue. So now, I need to come up with some new ones. Okay, here goes...

EMILY'S RESOLUTIONS FOR 2005

1.) Spend less money...I need to be able to afford an apartment by summer time.
2.) Eat more fruits and vegetables.
3.) Exercise every day, even if it's just doing sit-ups or something. I feel so lazy.
4.) Be more organized. Keep track of RA stuff, Tribune stuff, homework, and tests at all times.
5.) Bring up my grades. I might have already lost my scholarship.

I guess that's it. That doesn't sound too impossible to do. I can do it, no problem.

I spent today with my family sledding in Flagstaff. It was really fun, but cold. I couldn't feel my toes! And oh my gosh! While we were there, this guy walked by us with no shirt and a big gash on the back of his head! He was in the snow, mind you, with no shirt. And a bleeding head. It was really scary, we were worried about him. We should've called an ambulance or something. We tried to find him a couple minutes later, but couldn't. I hope he's okay.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to say, I love my editor and his wife/my former teacher. They are just the sweetest people ever. Tom is so patient with me while I'm adjusting to this job, and Christia totally makes me feel like I'm capable of doing it well. You know how a while ago I mentioned how writing briefs is really difficult for me? Well, I was talking to Christia yesterday and she said she and Tom think I am doing an excellent job, "especially with the briefs." So yay! What a morale-boster! I guess I'm not doing as badly as I thought. Pretty soon I'll be able to get them done quicker, and I'll just get more comfortable with this job in time. Christia also gave me a hug last night and wished me a Happy New Year. Aaw, my Obi-Wan. How cute. I think I really love this job.
