For those complaining about the upcoming "holiday", I would think that you would all find it much more sensible to just ignore the fact that it exists and let the day pass rather than drawling on about its stupidity.
As, granted, cheesey as it is, there's nothing wrong with setting aside a specific day to convince yourself to tell or show those who you care for how important to you they are. Honestly, there are many who don't have the courage to do it any other day.
I would think that anyone who prattles on negativities about a single, one-day event that they aren't even obligated to partake in is simply jealous or pained that yet another Valentine's Day goes by where their own loathing temperment, or simple lack of personality rends them unmatchable.
To those of you who plan on enjoying the 14th, have at it. To those who still might complain, you have every right to feel jealous.
