Another interview

Mar 10, 2007 19:05

1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better. If I already know you well, expect the questions may be a little more intimate!
3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions. (Or, if you prefer, you may answer by comment.)
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

Questions from Dace:

1) Who are you and what do you want?

That's two questions.
I am a truth-seeker. I am a work in progress. I am a wanderer and a wonderer.
I want to be increasingly able to be true to myself and others. I want a traveling companion. I want various sorts of intimacy.

2) Aside from your feelings and emotions, what have been the commonalities among the low points in your life?

Lowered average functionality... meaning I get less good at doing stuff in general. Low points are usually preceded by a change in social context. I tend to ruminate and get caught in thought-traps. I have less fun.

3) Aside from your feelings and emotions, what have been the commonalities among the high points in you life?

I have lots of fun, hang out with people often. I generally have some sort of goal that I believe in and am progressing toward.

4) What were the last few times you felt shame and what did you do about it?

I don't think in terms of shame... I barely even use the word. I never feel the type of shame that comes from dishonoring oneself. I do sometimes feel guilty or inadequate. This is almost invariably a result of me thinking or saying something that is confused, stupid, or hurts someone. I beat myself up, then try convincing myself that feeling bad about it doesn't help, then I try to learn from it and behave differently.
