I've been entertained by your review, even if it is slamming a movie I actually like (then again I have always liked making fun of the things I love). I'm usually not attracted to amature produced internet movies, but I'll personally say that I think the Channel Awesome crew are doing a fairly decent job. The lightning issue was fixed for this movie because almost all shots were done indoors at Doug Walker's house so they had a far better control over the lightnings with their small budget, Surburban Knights and Kickassia were both majorly shot outdoors or in locations where they just couldn't do much about the lightning, especially on their budget. (Something both Rob and Doug touched on in commentaries for those movies)

I probably am biased because I actually like many of the reviewers who have appeared in all of the CA movies, though recently I mostly only follow the big three NC, Linkara and Spoony (though probably only Linkara and Spoony now that the NC is retired), But even so I'm not going to say those are the greatest movies ever created. Far from it and I can see why some might be bothered by the jokes or the acting (I won't say they are great actors, but I honestly don't think they are that bad actors either). What I personally think is the biggest fault of all the movies are that you really need to know a lot of the reviewers to really get and understand things. The CA movies are really focused and geared towards the fans of the site, then again they are anniversay specials so I suppose they should.

By the way, I somewhat agree with you regarding Santa Christ, I'm not a huge fan of that character, I won't say I'm really offended by him for religious reasons (consider myself a Christian) but more as a creative writer. Because I've seen Doug and Rob create pretty good characters, some creepire than the other and this character just sounds so like a desperate attempt to overcome a writer's block that you just slam together two characters keeping apparently all their attributes and call it a day.

But all in all, though I disagree mostly with you (aside from Santa Christ) this was entertaining to read and It's always refreshing to see an perspective of someone who isn't a fan of a show.

The Santa Christ thing; I simplified my aversion to him a little. The religious part is why I'm uncomfortable with him, but the reason I don't like him is that he's so completely one-dimensional; he's a walking talking one-note joke that isn't funny. And I agree that the entire concept smacks of bad creative writing.

I ended up liking parts of this movie a lot more than I thought I would. I still have huge problems with it, but that finale was pretty damn cool.
