It's been almost a month since I last posted. And a hundred things have happened in that time. Lion and I celebrated our one year together, I got a job at Exalted Games (formerly Proctor's Sports Cards and Games) and start there, tomorrow. I got the news about my brother, the cats came home...geez, a full month.
And I'm still not up to posting too much. But I figured I'd post some pictures from the sad Halloween we had, last night. (Four groups of kids: two of the groups half-dressed teenagers.) We did wind up having fun watching The Nightmare Before Christmas and reading "World War Z" to each other.
Maybe I'll get back to that meme some time this month...
The kitties slept almost the whole night through, except for one instance where Dimi tried to run away with this adorable "dark angel" (who was about six) who came to our door. She won the cutest costume award, for certain.
Some pictures of Lion in his Steampunk Captain costume, along with my NERF battle-axe and his blow-up ball and chain:
Some shots of our pumpkin:
And me. I really didn't dress up (a bit of a school-girl look) but I did put on my Sorting Hat when the time came to hand out candy.
I'm truly surprised that I can still dress in these "springtime" clothes. It's November first and we haven't turned on the heat yet. (My secret goal is to not turn on the heat at all this year!) I'm happy that Kansas prepared me for a much colder winter. I might actually enjoy this one. Though I know, for a fact, I will dearly miss the snow.
It is cold and rainy here. I am absolutely loving it. We don't have the annoying problem of the sun waking us up in the morning. We can sleep as late as we need and wake to the soft, comforting sound of the rain. The only problem is that my windshield wipers don't work too well. But, soon, I will have a paycheck to buy new ones!
Life is going well.
Love you all.
