"you look like death on a triscuit!"

The Good Wife continues to kill me and make me overheat out of sheer excitement. Spoilers for 2x19: Wrongful Termination.

I loved Will and Diane bro-ing out over Jonas Stern's death and not knowing what to do and questioning their own moral character. I was kind of sad we didn't get an Alicia and Jonas Stern's daughter reunion though. They were nice to each other! It could have been nice. BUT MICHAEL J. FOX RETURNS. I love Canning. I loved his conversation with Alicia in the car - "You know the sign of an immature person? When they can't separate work morality from home morality." - Karen continues to misquote every minute of her existence, but whatever, the gist is there. And it's brilliant.

I loved when Jonas had that talk with her at the beginning about how women are more ruthless than the men. And Alicia is just there, hanging out with her poker face.

The photo of Diane and Jonas Stern when they were younger was so sad!

I kind of like the pacing of this whole Peter and Kalinda debacle. I love that Cary found out this week and that he's sort of taking it in stride, I love that Wiley called him out on his shit with protecting Kalinda, and I love that he called Kalinda out on it. The whole question about why Kalinda became friends with Alicia in the first place is really interesting. And this paired up with the whole Petra interviewing Alicia debacle means that something big is coming up, right? It has to be.

Next week's promo looked interesting, and I wonder if the news will hit Alicia then.

But really: let's talk about Will Gardner's face. It's a good face. But actually, shit is happening and as of right now, I'm not sure I have the emotional capacity to deal with whatever they have planned for the season finale. Will being flippant about how people are remembered after death was really kind of heartbreaking.

And then there is the whole thing with Tammy. First of all, the reason I smell something brewing - Tammy and Alicia had a conversation at the elevator about Helena? Something's definitely in the works. And then Tammy getting the job offer. I knew he was going to ask her to stay because he wasn't going to wait around for Alicia forever, but on the other hand, I can't help but think that part of this was precipitated by her telling him that they are firmly rooted in the past and they've never been anything else - although, hello, you had weird tension a few months ago - and obviously, part of this is his own fear about his legacy after he dies.

I don't know how I feel about this. I have no problems with Tammy, I'm pretty neutral about her, but I'm curious to see what they're planning with this. Hmmm.

To end on a happy note, OH MY GOD WHEN WILEY PUT CHILDS ON SPEAKERPHONE AND IT WAS THE TALKING LION, I DIED. THAT WAS THE MOST HYSTERICAL THING I HAVE EVER WITNESSED. THE LION BOPPED ITS HEAD, YOU GUYS.

And I loved Cary's "wtf is this" face. LOL.

Okay, just kidding, more thoughts: Kalinda's absence from this episode was pretty noticeable because she wasn't in it as much as she usually is but I think this is deliberate and necessary because this arc is about her and she wants to disengage from it as much as possible because I think this threat of exposure about this Peter Florrick thing makes her feel very uncomfortable and I think she's deliberately placing distance between her and Alicia for the time being just to ascertain where her emotions lie and what the next step could be.

eta: the more i think about it, the more alicia leaving l&g makes sense. will is attached to tammy, she's getting a better job offer with better pay. if she leaves l&g, that opens up a space for cary to leave the SA's office, which seems pretty likely to happen given that he seems to be perpetually on the edge of being fired (which, given that wiley knows that he's helping kalinda out now...). and then once cary is part of l&g again, the question will be about how to get alicia back from canning. their moral views don't exactly skew the same way so it wouldn't be quite as difficult, i guess. hmmmm.

tv: the good wife, death by otp, tv makes me happy -- what is this now?
