Speaking of which, I am doing a selective rewatch of S1-6 of the X-Files and a full rewatch of 7-9 because I too often skip those seasons because I don't own them, and, yeah, I'm still finishing up 4, but. Several people on Tumblr have started watching it for the first time or rewatching it and I am just in this happy place with this show because I just want to talk about this show all the time, falalala.
- I keep running into people who say they do not like the mytharc/alien episodes as much as they like MOTWs.
TO WHICH I SAY, WHAT.

I mean, to each their own, but I find the mytharcs fascinating and amazing! BLACK OIL. BLACK OIL. HOW DO YOU GET THROUGH S3 AND WALK OUT OF THAT STILL LIKING THE MOTWS MORE? IT BAFFLES ME. PAPER CLIP, FOR CHRIST'S SAKE. THAT ENTIRE ARC. WHAT. WHAT. BLESSING WAY. WHAT.
- My rewatch has taught me things. Like my kneejerk fandom reactions to certain episodes were way harsh, but I was 13 so what are you going to do. I actually don't hate 3 that much anymore even though it is actually a really terrible MOTW in my opinion, but it does have great character development/study stuff for Mulder and this happens:

I still, however, do not like The Field Where I Died except for the cold open because it is a really pretty shot.
- I am really feeling Mulder this time around? Like, I love him, and obviously I adore Scully and I love this entire show but I just want to write essays about him because his development is so great and he is an ass at times but he is a well-meaning ass who wants to do the right thing who also voluntarily (pretty much) secluded himself in a basement where he didn't have to deal with people so.
- Somehow this has led to me liking Grotesque more than I used to.
- Why isn't everyone talking about this show? Let's make this happen.
- This ship makes me so happy, I can't. Such perfect construction.
In sum, my favourite hand-holding thing PROBABLY OF ALL TIME. ACROSS SHOWS. I AM JUST SAYING.
In real life~ news, Stars on Ice is on Friday. And I'm excited! I mean, I dislike Evan Lysacek pretty heavily, and I do not care for Sasha Cohen at all, and I have no opinions on Kurt Browning really but Katya Gordeeva will be there and Ina/Zimmerman WHO HAVE AMAZING LIFTS AND I LOVE THEM and apparently, Kristi Yamaguchi made a surprise appearance at one of the performances and I am all for Kristi Yamaguchi but also, let us never forget who attends graduate school in the area and I know there is no point in hoping BUT I AM HOPING REGARDLESS~ FOR A SPECIAL APPEARANCE.
