hi hockey season.
hockey season has started. too lazy to look up the local espn schedule so i will catch games if i catch them!
but really, i watched glee.
I wasn't bored like the Britney/Brittany episode! Step in the right direction.
I loved Finn this episode. Felt like a return to pilot!Finn. Grilled cheesus! This is, of course, ignoring the "except for what you did to Artie's legs" comment because. I want a meta icon with that shot of Finn and the loaf of white bread that just says WHITE in huge block letters on the side of the loaf.
Whatever they're doing to Tina's make-up, I want them to stop. Her face looked like two colors this episode. It was paler at the top and darker at the bottom and super pale around her eyes and I was just like ... WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS GOING ON HERE! /Mrs. White's voice.
But let's be real. MERCEDES. AMBER. AMBER. MERCEDES. Mercedes and Kurt are the best thing about this show a lot of the time and this episode did them well. And Mercedes was so adorable! "Hi, church!" Omg awwwwwwwwwwww. That being said, I have complicated feelings. Obviously, the black community does feature congregational churches and they do have community structured around faith. Given the portrayal of Mercedes thus far though, I mean, we learned more about her character, but it's still not much beyond the stereotypical. IDK.
And I liked Kurt this episode. Chris can pull my heartstrings like no other. "I Want To Hold Your Hand" was gorgeous and this episode might make me want to download songs when I haven't had any Glee song downloads since like the first eight episodes, let's be real. But IWTHYH and "Losing My Religion" were so on. Even with the bad lip syncing, Cory. But that's okay. I love Cory. We should just chill out in Canada and watch some hockey.
I love Santana's background commentary. Every time she rolls her eyes when Rachel speaks, I just am like ~oh, girl, you're like my vessel on this show. KEEP ON KEEPING ON.
Re: Emma. IT ASTOUNDS ME THAT EMMA HAS A JOB. YOU ARE A GUIDANCE COUNSELOR. YOU ARE TAUGHT WAYS TO HELP CHILDREN COPE IN WAYS I AM SURE THAT DON'T INCLUDE RELIGION. JESUS FUCKING CHRIST. Also, I'm not sure if she made some sort of backhanded insult about Ken Tanaka but Ken Tanaka is MY BOY - Truckzilla vs. Truckasaurus and get this, the trucks ~breathe fiiiiiiiire - and after what you did to him, I can't deal with those comments.
If it were anyone other than jane lynch, i think sue's scenes with her sister would seem so trite. Mostly, Jane Lynch is a master of the subtle.
and i wonder if the audio mixer is as sick of lea michele's voice as i am.
But let's talk about my girl. She had one line, which was supplemented by a whole four lines of a song, which, given the spoilers I've been reading/my check-ups on the gleeclub comm, is mostly because there are no hints of her getting a song for the season that we know of. I'm not optimistic, let's be honest. And in the four lines of her song, she's not even the first one in frame. But, you know. At least her hair looks pretty. Hey, remember that time she sang 59 seconds of Tonight? I think that is my favourite Jenna song on this show.
