Day 04 - The pairing with the most chemistry?
Chuck and Blair. How could I not? I love dark&twisty couples and I love them. They are so pretty and angsty and it will never work out for them in a happily-ever-after way but I still resolutely stand by the idea that the universe demands them together. Although I suppose fandom is trying to get me not to like them because they write generally meh fic and call the pairing Chair. No really. What is this. But chemistry-wise, they SMOLDER. THEY ARE ESSENTIALLY A CHEMICAL EXPLOSION IN SOMEONE'S PANTS? They just have to be IN THE SAME FRAME to be awesome.
Day 04 - Your favorite show ever
Quick disclaimer: I watch a lot of TV. No, really. A LOT. I have seen a lot in my lifetime. My short lifetime. So asking me this question is like asking me which vital organ I'd like to keep. WELL, ALL OF THEM, OKAY. I love most of the shows I watch and there are some I know by episode title, some I can quote, etc. But I had to pick this one. Further explanation under the cut.
I was going to picspam my general favorite bits from the whole show BUT NO REALLY LET ME BRING YOU POSSIBLY MY FAVORITE SCENE OF FAVORITE SCENES. This show is my "favorite" because I've watched the first and second seasons probably a thousand times over. Circa finals week, I always end up rewatching 30 Rock because it mellows me out while I study/stress. It's introduced Liz Lemon into my life. It's introduced so many awesome phrases into my life - "What the what?", "Blerg!", "I don't drink hot liquids, Mr. Jordan, that's the devil's temperature!", "I heard you singing night cheese", "Suck it, monkeys, I'm going corporate!", "I want to go to there" - that somehow make my life better by just my saying them.
This is from Season 1, "The C Word." I know because I've seen it SO MANY TIMES. (I am however terrible at episode numbers?) Every time I pull an all-nighter during the school semester or am up past two a.m. for something work related, I HAVE TO QUOTE THIS SCENE AT 2 A.M. EVERYONE THINKS I'M CRAZY. I DON'T EVEN CARE. Because when Tina Fey's voice cracks on the "I'm so tired," I am like THAT IS EXACTLY HOW I FEEL AT 2 AM.
Other fandom related happenings:
-I am three episodes from finishing Buffy. I think I partly had been holding out because of Xander's whole confrontation with Caleb thing. And when that scene came, I cried like a baby. My dad then proceeded to shake his head at me for ten minutes, lecturing me on why I watch things that I get mad/sad at. PARENTS JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND /WILL SMITH
-Wiki'ing Buffy is possibly the most hilarious thing ever. We could have had an alt!BtVS where Angel was played by Nathan Fillion, Xander by Ryan Reynolds, and Buffy by KENDRA. I honestly. I don't even know what to make of that.
-I am thinking of doing an epic Willow/Xander picspam? Hmm.
Real life happenings:
-I cleaned out my closet today! I filled three garbage bags full of stuff that I don't wear anymore. HOLY. MOTHER.
-Being a script reader is occasionally super amusing. Like today when I read a script today that was a) about Biblical things, b) very heavily rooted in Jewish mythology?, and then c) proceeded to type half the script in capslock. Also, there were super serious things like
A SINGLE TEAR RUNS DOWN HIS FACE.
And I lost it. And then right before the climactic action scene, it goes: CLOSE ON SAMUEL. HE FLEAS. As in runs from the scene. (OOH, TWIST.)
