it's early on fucking labor day and i am sleepless, which i find really baffling considering the weekend i had. i feel pretty good right now, despite feeling like complete shit all weekend. let's just say i discovered a few things i really enjoyed, and a few things which i will not do again (even though i'm not sure which of this weekend's events fall under which category yet). i've been listening to Opeth and Porcupine Tree lately, as well as Alice In Chains and a lovely band that i recently discovered called Explosions In The Sky. i'm convinced that the new Opeth album is completely fucking amazing. they very well could be the band that brings back true metal. on another note, i've decided that A Clockwork Orange is by far one of the best movies i've ever seen. possibly my favorite of all time, followed closely by Waking Life, High Fidelity, and The Shining. i think the use of symbolism on film is really interesting, especially the way Kubrick did it. ACO is full of it. i've been looking for a lot of symbolic movies to check out lately.
i'm really ready to get started on my schoolwork, which will hopefully begin within the coming week and half or so.i'm anxious to get this year over with, considering it'll be my last year. i'm getting a headache...
