it's humid, wet, and bright outside, which is one of my favorite weather combinations. the past few days have consisted of: talking to Lucy on the phone until 4 in the morning, lots of modest mouse and KMFDM, and playing with a bunch of crazy little kids. so yeah my sister's back from atlanta after...maybe...3 weeks. i'm glad she got to get away and have fun. i think it's healthy. tylenol PM has been helping me sleep lately. considering that i get up around 1 or 2, it's a good way to try to even things out by getting to sleep at, oh say, 4 or 5 in the morning. those kids at church are insane. Lucy and i fell down and got kicked more times than i can count. i try to be patient with little kids like that, because i remember when i was one of those little fuckers. the band is going well. the new song is done for the most part. i've memorized the lyrics to this one quicker than usual for some reason. we had a guy that wanted to try out for us last week, but it looks like he's flaking out. thank god for brian. speaking of that, the tour is looking like it's going to be less of an actual "tour" and more of a collective of out of town shows, i guess. considering that brian can't take that entire week off from work, we're leaving out the shows we haven't confirmed yet (birmingham and florida), and just playing the ones we have (cherokee, myrtle beach, atlanta, scottsboro, murfreesboro, and lexington). blah...
