i saw this on Tom's l/j, and i'm bored. basically just making a list of my current top 5 songs to listen to. then you have to do it.
1) pink floyd - if. just a really good psychedelic acoustic song i recently discovered on atom heart mother. the lyrics are classic.
2) phish - sand. kevin got me into phish recently and they're fucking amazing.
3) between the buried and me - shevanel (part 2). yes, an emo song. well, i think it's emo. just an unusually soft song for a really heavy band.
4) cephalic carnage - redundant. the blastbeat in the beginning is awesome. cephalic is easily one of the most innovative grind bands in my opinion. i love the guitar work and the way he trades off different vocal styles. hell, the whole "lucid interval" album is gold.
5) sigur ros - svefn-g-englar. always has been and still is one of my favorite songs ever. very euphoric and ambient.
very diverse as usual. i've been listening to some ambient and jam bands lately. as well as lots of grind.
