As Mr. Ripley would say, "believe it or not" chaps, when The Sherlock Holmes Pub opened in February of 1994, we were prohibited from selling most of the fine imported draft beers we feature today! From the fine State of Tennessee, who just passed legislation to make it legal to "harvest roadkill!," had on the books for decades, a law which prohibited the importing of beer kegs in "odd sized containers!" That meant fine products like "Guinness" could not be had from any tapper in Tennessee, since the keg size was measured in litres instead of gallons.
Fortunately, The Sherlock Holmes Pub and our early regulars banded together and brought forth signed petitions hoping to influence the politicians to change the law. Behold, in the Spring of 1995, the law changed, and two months later, The Sherlock Holmes Pub served the first draft imported beer (John Courage) in modern day Tennessee history! We have taken full advantage of the new legislation by bringing in a well rounded selection of the finest brew from the UK and Ireland.

Damn, that's fucked. 1995 before anyone had something besides Bud & Coors on tap. Iiicckkk.
