Did you skip most of S7 or start the show more recently and are still working your way backwards?

*Forgive me, I haven't had my caffeine yet :P You've been writing in this fandom since at least 2010 given the other fic we were just discussing so...did you just skip most of S7? (like many of us?)

I was in and out of it for S1-3 and then ITV was showing it @ 11pm one night and I saw this really hot guy in a trench coat (it was the episode with Anna finding out she's an angel) and I was like hello, who's thaaaatt?

So from then on in I was hooked. But after season five they stopped showing it so I fell away from it (not through choice!).

Then E4 started showing S10 and I was like - fate. Meant to be. And after about two eps I went and got myself S6 and S7 on box set - just finished watching the ep where Sam's got his soul back and tricked Cas into telling him everything Dean wouldn't. And I know I'm getting S8 and S9 as a Christmas gift so hopefully by the end of the year / mid January I should be caught up.

So it's kind of weird for me - there's this whole five years where lots of stuff has happened and all I know is what I've picked up on line mainly by supernatural wikia and reading other people's fic (and what I've watched so far through S6).

I know everything more or less that happens, just haven't actually seen it ( ... )

DARK FIC! Uuh, man! Deliciously dark and brutal. And Sam finding him, always a favorite of mine when others have to witness it (or at least the aftermath, instead of Dean hiding it)! This was perfect in all its darkness. Thank you for sharing!

OP here. I only just saw this, honestly thought this would never see a fill. Was delightedly surprised when I saw someone had! And it's perfect. So many beautiful heartfelt angsty moments. The scuffed paint. The other hunters. Washing the car down. The way what they said while under the curse's influence was mixed with both true stuff and twisted up stuff (especially from Bobby). And the way it was subtle, just slightly off but almost normal sounding on the surface, and yet the situation is so clearly, terribly wrong. That juxtaposition was perfectly angsty-creepy-gorgeous. Even with Bobby being almost-protective, almost-comforting, so unsettlingly just off from normal. It was perfect and beautiful and makes the angst so sharp and lovely. And the impala being worked into it all. And Dean still being so clearly badass, but also so affected by it and certainly not invincible. And that aftermath with Bobby, just not knowing when it will ever be mended and poor Dean not knowing how he's going to react when he sees him again, hears him ( ... )
