Outside the Barrier plot
As of this post, Sam has slipped outside of the barrier where he will be for at least the next 2-3 weeks. However, he is not alone. Cara, Ruby and Bigby have followed him because they really didn't like the idea of him going on his own.
Because of the wifi extenders that Tony and Thor put up a few weeks ago, Sam will be able to have access to the network still and reply to all messages coming his way. He doesn't plan to go beyond where the signal is.
However, on August 30th, Sam is going to slip into a coma since I will be on a mini-hiatus. He will wake back up on September 4th. That will leave the others on their own for 3 days before the barrier goes back down for the recovery team mission and they can make a choice if they go back inside with his coma body or not.
Sam has handed the keys for Torchwood over to Handy, but he's left everyone enough projects to work on while he's away before the sickness plot even started.
So just a heads-up in case you start to notice any of the four missing where they are at.
